#102: true and good
👋 Welcome to the 102nd issue of Out of Curiosity, a weekly newsletter promoting ideas to help get 1% better everyday.
My name is Reza, and every week, I go through nearly 100 pieces of content (from books and podcasts to newsletters and tweets), and bring you the best in this newsletter.
Got goosebumps reading this article, especially towards the end. Amazing prose
✨I don’t really have any apocalypse theories or immortality theories or afterlife theories and right now I don’t feel like I need them. I believe in the aliveness present in all things. I want to write every day and read books and to be in love and live near all my friends and work on what I know to be true and good. For me, that’s salvation—that’s ambition.
These days, there is more nutritious content than could be consumed in a hundred lifetimes. Yet, there’s even more (seductively packaged) mental junk food disguising itself as healthy. Both just a mere scroll, swipe or click away.
The modern struggle is distinguishing the difference between the two.
General ambition will give you anxiety.
Specific ambition will give you direction.
