#94: your own judgement
👋 Welcome to the 94th issue of Out of Curiosity, a weekly newsletter promoting ideas to help get 1% better everyday.
My name is Reza, and every week, I go through nearly 100 pieces of content (from books and podcasts to newsletters and tweets), and bring you the best in this newsletter.
Keep in mind that what injures you is not people who are rude or aggressive but your opinion that they are injuring you.
So whenever someone provokes you, be aware that the provocation really comes from your own judgment. Start, then, by trying not to get carried away by the impression. Once you pause and give yourself time, you will more easily control yourself.
Figure out when your work turns from being helpful to just plain exhausting. Transform your routine by planning out your tasks and taking breaks. Be kind to yourself, chill out every now and then, and find your inspiration rather than just grinding away. You'll find that things turn out even better in the end.
If you find yourself wanting to throw in the towel after a few failures, that’s simply not your thing. Drop it and move on. But if you find yourself continuing to show up, anxious to take another crack at it, and regardless of any outside criticism or praise, you’ve found your thing. What a blessing.
→ Fail doing what you want to do
👋 Until next week,
