My name is Reza, and every week, I go through nearly 100 pieces of content (from books and podcasts to newsletters and tweets), and bring you the best in this newsletter.

⏳ One of my biggest regrets: wasting years of my life
💯 100 things I know
→ I’ve learned that everything is about feeling. We have 9x more information going from body to brain, than brain to body. Logic and language were the last frontiers of human evolution, and they will never win over emotion.
→ I know that listening is a skill that must be practiced and worked on. My trick: In order to listen to someone, try to really understand what they are saying.
→ I always know the answer, deep down inside, and so do you. When making a big and difficult decision, flip a coin. You’ll either get the answer that you (secretly, subconsciously) wanted, or you’ll get the answer you realize you DIDN’T want, and all will become clear. Don’t trust the coin; trust your inside guts.

🌟 You need a mission in life
What do you do every day, constantly strive to get better at, that improves not just your life, but the lives of others?
What is that one thing that you are building above all else, trading your time - no, decades of your life - in exchange to will into existence that is good and beautiful in this world?
When you find your mission, the one that you can’t imagine life without, it becomes the most precious thing you own.
Once you experience this in some form, a person really doesn’t need much in life to be happy, and you slowly realize what an illusion most of what is constantly sold in the first world as being needed to lead a good life really is - little more than trinkets sold as external solutions to fill the void of internal doubt.

⏳ One of my biggest regrets: wasting years of my life
What an incredible piece from Ben Yoskovitz! Full of unfiltered insights on cultivating a more meaningful (and less wasteful) life (and career).
Instead of turtling, I went in the opposite direction. I started blogging. I put myself out there, shared my knowledge and experience, and built a network. Literally everything I’ve accomplished since 2006 is because of blogging. By forcing myself to get out there I met tons of people virtually, and built a local network as well.
Networking and building a brand remain the best ways to open yourself up to opportunities. You put value out into the world and sometimes good things come back.
My dad often says to me, “Time moves faster as you get older.” It doesn’t, but your perception of time absolutely moves faster. Actually, it gets scary fast.
There’s nothing worse than filling your time with pointless shit to feel busy and useful, only to realize you wasted your time (and probably other people’s time as well.)
